Chawton is a village in the South Downs National Park just south of Alton  and is famous as the home of Jane Austen for the last eight years of her life. St Nicholas church is situated right next to Chawton House Library and just down the lane from  the Jane Austen Museum.

Bell ringing in this area falls under the auspices of the Alton and Petersfield District of the Winchester and Portsmouth Diocesan Guild of Church Bell Ringers and all members of our band are also members of the Guild.
